Chipa Pireca
Ingredients
300 grams of Self-rising flour
1 teaspoon of Cow lard
1 cup of Warm water
1 teaspoon of Salt
1 Beaten egg
Vegetable oil
Preparation
Step 1 : To prepare chipa pireca, start by placing the flour in a bowl and forming a volcano in the center.
Step 2 : Add the lard, beaten egg, salt, and water, then mix all the ingredients.
Step 3 : Next, knead the mixture until obtaining a homogeneous and elastic dough, which will take about 10 minutes.
Step 4 : Let the dough rest covered for 20 minutes.
Step 5 : Then, form a cylinder with the dough and cut it into portions.
Step 6 : Stretch each portion with a rolling pin and make a hole in the center of each chipa pireca.
Step 7 : Fry the chipas in hot oil until golden brown.
Step 8 : Once ready, drain them on absorbent paper and serve.
