Homemade Russian Salad
Ingredients
3 medium potatoes
2 large carrots
1 cup of peas
2 eggs
1 medium beet
1 cup of mayonnaise
1 teaspoon of mustard (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Preparation
Step 1 : To prepare the salad, cook the potatoes and carrots in salted water until tender, then let them cool.
Step 2 : The pre-cooked beet is cut into small cubes.
Step 3 : The eggs are boiled for 10 minutes, cooled, peeled, and diced.
Step 4 : The peas are cooked in salted water for 5 minutes and cooled.
Step 5 : In a large bowl, mix the potatoes, carrots, peas, eggs, and beet.
Step 6 : Add mayonnaise, mustard (optional), salt, and pepper, then mix well.
