Chipa Guazu is an ideal preparation to accompany various Paraguayan dishes, for example a barbecue, a breaded veal cutlet, or some tasty noodles.
This recipe, like some others from Paraguay, is also consumed and prepared in northwest Argentina.
Traditional Chipa Guazu
Ingredients
1 kilogram of fresh corn
5 eggs
1 cup of milk
half a cup of butter
2 onions
300 grams of Paraguayan cheese
Salt to taste
Preparation
Step 1 : Peel the onions and cut them into small cubes, then fry them in a skillet with butter and salt until transparent, then set aside.
Step 2 : In another container, blend the corn, eggs, fried onions, oil, and milk in three parts until you get a paste-like mixture.
Step 3 : Place this mixture in a bowl, add crumbled cheese and salt to taste, and mix well.
Step 4 : Next, grease a 20 cm mold and pour the prepared mixture into it.
Step 5 : Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake the dish for approximately 45 minutes, or until golden brown.
