Step 1 : The recipe begins by cutting the bread and placing it in a bowl, then hydrating it with milk and leaving it to soak for about 2 hours.
Step 2 : Next, the bread and milk are placed in a blender and blended until a smooth mixture is obtained.
Step 3 : During this blending process, eggs are gradually incorporated along with sugar, lemon zest, and vanilla.
Step 4 : To prepare the caramel, place 1 cup of sugar with ½ cup of water in a saucepan and let it caramelize.
Step 5 : Once ready, pour it into a mold, tilting the container to cover the entire surface with caramel.
Step 6 : Then, pour the mixture into the mold and cover it with parchment paper to prevent the pudding from drying out.
Step 7 : The next step is to bake the pudding in a water bath at 180°C for about 1 hour.
Step 8 : Once cooked, let it cool before unmolding.
Step 9 : To serve, accompany the pudding with dulce de leche and fruit in syrup.
