Ingredients

500 grams of Wheat flour

1 pinch of Salt

2 Egg yolks

Vanilla essence

80 grams of Sugar

30 grams of Butter

200 milliliters of Milk

30 grams of Fresh yeast

Oil for frying

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare the buns, dissolve the yeast in a cup of milk with a little sugar and a bit of flour.

Step 2 : In a bowl, place the flour and add the remaining sugar, a pinch of salt, the egg yolks, and butter, mixing the ingredients well.

Step 3 : Add the yeast mixture and continue kneading, gradually adding more vanilla milk until achieving a smooth dough that doesn't stick to the hands.

Step 4 : Place the dough in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rest in a warm place until it doubles in size.

Step 5 : Then, transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for a few minutes.

Step 6 : Shape into a strip about 4 cm in diameter and make cuts to then form the buns.

Step 7 : Place the buns on a greased and floured tray, letting them rise for about 30 minutes until they double or triple in size.

Step 8 : In a skillet with not-too-hot oil, carefully place the buns so they don't deflate and fry until golden on both sides.

Step 9 : Once ready, remove from the skillet and coat with sugar.

Step 10 : Once cooled, cut them crosswise and fill with pastry cream, guava paste, or caramel to taste, leaving the filling visible.
