Ingredients

500 grams of Wheat flour

150 grams of Sugar

100 grams of Butter

3 Eggs

250 milliliters of Warm milk

25 grams of Fresh yeast

1 teaspoon of Salt

1 teaspoon of Vanilla essence

200 grams of Candied fruits

1 Orange zest

Preparation

Step 1 : To activate the yeast, dissolve it in warm milk with a teaspoon of sugar and let it sit for 10 minutes until it foams.

Step 2 : In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt as part of the preparation.

Step 3 : Then, incorporate the eggs, melted butter, vanilla essence, and zest of orange and lemon into the dry ingredients.

Step 4 : After adding the activated yeast mixture, knead well until you obtain a soft, homogeneous dough.

Step 5 : Integrate the candied fruits or nuts into the dough, making sure they are evenly distributed.

Step 6 : Cover the dough and let it rest in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

Step 7 : For baking, preheat the oven to 180°C and place the dough in sweet bread molds or on a baking tray.

Step 8 : Bake for 40-50 minutes or until golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Step 9 : Finally, let the sweet bread cool on a rack before serving.
