Paraguayan Shortbread
Ingredients
500 grams of Flour
250 grams of Powdered sugar
250 grams of Butter
4 Eggs
1 tablespoon of Baking powder
1 teaspoon of Vanilla essence
Preparation
Step 1 : On a countertop, sift the flour with the baking powder, creating a well in the center.
Step 2 : Add the eggs, sugar, and vanilla, mixing all ingredients until obtaining a homogeneous dough.
Step 3 : Place the dough in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.
Step 4 : After this time, place the dough on a flat surface and roll it out with a rolling pin.
Step 5 : Using a cutter, cut out pieces approximately 1 cm thick and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Step 6 : Bake the cookies at 180°C for about 10 minutes, avoiding over-browning; they should remain light-colored.
Step 7 : After baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool.
Step 8 : Finally, they can be decorated with powdered sugar.
