Sweet Bread
Ingredients
450 grams of Flour
100 grams of Butter
120 grams of Sugar
3 Eggs
40 grams of Yeast
50 milliliters of Lukewarm Milk
1 pinch of Salt
1 tablespoon of Honey
Vanilla Extract
1 tablespoon of Liqueur
50 grams of Candied Fruits
50 grams of Nuts
Preparation
Step 1 : In a bowl, combine the milk, yeast, one tablespoon of sugar, and 4 tablespoons of flour.
Step 2 : Stir until the mixture dissolves and let it ferment for 1 hour.
Step 3 : In another container, place the remaining flour, a pinch of salt, sugar, eggs, honey, vanilla, and liqueur.
Step 4 : Mix the ingredients and incorporate the ferment.
Step 5 : Gradually add the butter and knead for about 10 minutes until a smooth dough forms that doesn't stick to the hands.
Step 6 : Let the dough rest, covered, until it doubles in size.
Step 7 : Place the dough on the counter, flatten it, and add the candied fruits and nuts.
Step 8 : Knead to incorporate all the ingredients.
Step 9 : Then, place the dough into a bread mold and let it rest until it doubles in volume.
Step 10 : Brush the surface with an egg and milk mixture, and bake at 180°C for approximately 45 minutes.
Step 11 : Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool.
Step 12 : Serve accompanied by hot chocolate.
